The Veterans Administration Hospital in Fort Wayne (Lake Avenue) is asking for members of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) to distribute coffee and doughnuts during a specified time on Thursdays each week. The commitment is for a block of time from 9:00 am – 11:30 am in the VA lobby. It’s a great way to meet and greet the veterans that have served our country.
Compatriot Alan Bradfield and his wife Tara were on hand on September 12 to serve coffee and donuts to the vets. The veterans are very appreciative of the service and are happy to chat over some coffee. Please contact Secretary Ron Kohart if you would like to volunteer to spend a couple hours at the VA Hospital on a Thursday morning.
